Identity & Structure

USA Swimming is a 400,000-member service organization that promotes the culture of swimming by creating opportunities for swimmers and coaches of all backgrounds to participate and advance in the sport through clubs, events, and education.

Membership includes swimmers from age group levels to the Olympic Team, along with coaches and volunteers. We select and train teams for international competition, including the Olympic Games.

USA Swimming administers competitive swimming under the Olympic & Amateur Sports Act. We provide programs and services for members, supporters, affiliates, and the public.
